PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN GOOGLE SITES DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI VIRUS DAN PERANANNYA

Biology learning at the Senior High School (SMA) level has quite a lot of problems, one of which is the concept of virus material and its role. The concept of abstract and complex material makes learning that is not enough to be explained verbally but a visual approach is also needed so that student understanding can increase. Google Sites-based learning media has proven to be an effective platform in supporting the learning process today in improving students' understanding and mastery of the material. This study aims to improve students' understanding of the concept of virus material and its role at MAN 1 Cilegon City. In conducting this research, the ADDIE research model was used with data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews. Feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness tests need to be carried out to determine the level of success of the media that can be used in the learning process. The test involved research targets consisting of 1 material expert, 1 media expert, 1 learning expert (subject teacher) and grade X students. The feasibility test assessment was carried out by 3 research targets, namely material experts at 74% (feasible category), media experts 94% (very feasible category), and learning experts 80% (feasible category). Meanwhile, the practicality test was carried out with the research target, namely class X students as many as 32 students with a percentage of 76.70% (practical category). In addition, in the effectiveness test with the same research target, namely class X students, the results were 85% (very good or very effective category). Based on the three media tests, it can be concluded that Google Sites learning media on virus material and its role is feasible and can be used in the learning process.
