Abstract

Skor kecemasan, depresi, dan kualitas hidup yang buruk meningkat sebagai akibat dari gaya hidup dan ketidakaktivan mahasiswa. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi partisipasi seseorang dalam aktivitas fisik adalah faktor psikologis. SOA, ROE, OEA dan UOE merupakan dimensi kecerdasan emosional yang dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan aktivitas fisik. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah Kecerdasan Emosional (EI) mempengaruhi tingkat aktivitas fisik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan 174 mahasiswa. Kuesioner Aktivitas Fisik Internasional (IPAQ) dan Skala Kecerdasan Emosional Wong dan Law (WLEIS) digunakan untuk menghitung tingkat aktivitas fisik dan skor Kecerdasan Emosional mahasiswa. Terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dan tingkat aktivitas fisik (p<0,05). Dimensi kecerdasan emosional UOE mempengaruhi tingkat aktivitas fisik secara signifikan sedangkan SOA, ROE dan OEA tidak. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan emosional yang baik berperan penting terhadap motivasi dan peningkatan aktivitas fisik pada mahasiswa.
