Abstract: Expanding knowledge of teacher professionalism, especially in the teaching and learning process, requires learning innovation to improve the professionalism of a teacher. The purpose of this study was to determine students' perceptions of efforts to increase the professional competence of prospective teachers through learning innovations. The method applied in this case is a qualitative research method with descriptive research type. The results obtained are based on research in general the professional competence of a teacher that affects the learning process and outcomes. One of the efforts to increase teacher professionalism is by participating in workshops or seminars so that they can help create learning innovations which can certainly increase teacher professionalism
