Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs for the development of e-modules based on PBLPOE ecosystem materials to increase digital and environmental literacy. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive research method. This research is the first stage of the development model of Lee & Owens (2004), namely analysis. The results show that the average digital literacy of SMAN 1 Lawang is 46.25% which is classified as low and environmental literacy is 110.2 which is classified as medium category. Learning in class shows that ecosystem material is material that is difficult to understand. Classroom learning is mostly done using classical methods, not varied, and monotonous. The learning media used by the teacher does not make it easier for students to understand the material. The alternative used by the teacher is to use the PBL model. PBL will be effective if it is integrated with constructivism models such as the POE model which is then called the Problem Based Learning Predict Observe Explain (PBLPOE) model. The results of the needs analysis research on the development of this ecosystem material e-module can be continued as a basis for the next research and development stage.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kebutuhan pada pengembangan e-module berbasis PBLPOE materi ekosistem untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dan lingkungan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini merupakan tahap pertama dari model pengembangan Lee & Owens (2004) yaitu analisis. Hasil menunjukkan rerata literasi digital siswa SMAN 1 Lawang sebesar 46,25% yang tergolong rendah dan literasi lingkungan sebesar 110,2 yang tergolong sedang. Pembelajaran di kelas menunjukkan bahwa materi ekosistem merupakan materi yang sulit dipahami. Pembelajaran di kelas lebih banyak dilakukan dengan metode klasikal, tidak variatif, dan monoton. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru tidak memudahkan siswa memahami materi. Alternatif yang digunakan guru adalah menggunakan model PBL. PBL akan efektif apabila diintegrasikan dengan model konstruktivisme seperti model POE yang kemudian disebut dengan model Problem Based Learning Predict Observe Explain (PBLPOE). Hasil dari penelitian analisis kebutuhan pengembangan e-module materi ekosistem ini dapat dilanjutkan sebagai dasar untuk tahap penelitian dan pengembangan selanjutnya.
